Municipal Development Services, LLC Breaks Ground on Banks County Human Services Facility

Banks County and Municipal Development Services, LLC (MDS) today held the ground breaking ceremony for the new Banks County Human Services Facility. The ceremony was well attended by state and local officials, as well as local business leaders and private citizens. Brad Day, Banks County Development Authority Executive, served as Master of Ceremonies, with Jimmy Hooper, Chairman of the Banks County Board of Commissioners, delivering the key note speech. Don E. Chandler, principal of MDS, provided an overview of this major county project. Also in attendance were State Representatives Dan Gasaway and Tommy Benton, and State Senator John Wilkinson.
MDS is the developer of this new 6,750 ft2 facility, future home of the Banks County Department of Family and Children Services. The building is located in the Hudson River Business Park at 154 Windmill Farm Road, Homer, Georgia 30547. Completion of the facility is scheduled for late fall of 2015.
Banks County is strategically located between Greenville, South Carolina and Atlanta, Georgia at the intersection of Interstate 85 and U.S. Highway 441. The county enjoys a rich, historic heritage while offering easy access to the North Georgia mountains and a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities.
